Zambia celebrates her Independence Day each year on October 24th.
The day holds significant value on the calendar as it reminds citizens of the day when Zambia became independent in 1964 after many years of being under colonial rule by the British.
This year’s Independence Day will mark 61 years of Zambia being free from colonial rule.
